Interlibrary Loan Policy
INTERLIBRARY LOAN PRIVILEGES:
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services are available for students who are currently registered at Santa Fe University of Art and Design, and for all currently employed faculty and staff of the university. Emeriti faculty and board members are also eligible.
ILL services are only available to Santa Fe University of Art and Design Faculty, Students, and Staff. Community and Institutional borrowers do not have access to our ILL service. Luckily the Santa Fe Public Library does offer ILL services to Santa Fe Community members.
You may request an item through ILL by emailing email@example.com. Please provide as much pertinent information about your request as possible, include title, author, publication date, edition and ISBN.
When submitting an ILL request, please consider the nature of the material. ILL services are intended for appropriate research purposes only.
Please make sure, too, that Fogelson Library does not own the requested item.
Requests for items that are already present in our collection or for items intended for personal entertainment will not be honored.
You are limited to 5 active requests at one time.
Loaned materials usually arrive within 7-10 days, but occasionally require more time. We will notify you by email when the requested item is available for pick-up.
Due dates are set by the lending library; not by Fogelson Library. Please return your ILL materials to the Circulation desk by the due date indicated on the item(s).
Some items may be renewed up to one time, at the discretion of the lending library. If you intend to renew an item, please submit a request at least one day prior to the item’s due date.
Overdue ILL items are taken very seriously as they may affect our borrowing privileges with other libraries, preventing us from making future requests (for all library users).
There is an overdue fee of $1 per day for all overdue materials.
ILL users with more than three late returns will have their ILL privileges suspended for the remainder of the academic year.
Lost ILL material fees are set by the lending library. ILL users with lost materials will be billed directly, and will lose ILL privileges.
